NU’EST’s Ren To Miss 2021 KBS Song Festival Due To Self-Quarantine

On the 16th of December, Pledis Entertainment announced that NU'EST's Ren would not be attending the 2021 KBS Song Festival.

According to the agency, NU'EST's Ren came in close contact with the confirmed COVID-19 case. NU'EST's Ren has tested negative for COVID-19.

"On the evening of December 14 (Tuesday), it was confirmed that he had been in close contact with a COVID-19 patient. Ren immediately underwent PCR testing on December 15 (Wednesday) and received negative results," Pledis Entertainment shared.

Pledis Entertainment clarified that there was no physical contact between Ren and the remaining NU'EST members since the evening of December 14.

The agency also assured fans that all the NU'EST members were fully vaccinated.

Pledis Entertainment also shared that NU'EST's Ren has no symptoms.

"Accordingly, even a person comes in contact with a confirmed patient, there are no restrictions on external activities if the PCR test results are negative. In addition, Ren currently has no suspicious symptoms of infection such as fever or respiratory disease," Pledis Entertainment announced.

Although NU'EST's Ren tested negative from COVID-19 and has been inoculated with the vaccine, he decided to undergo self-quarantine.

"In consideration of the health and safety of those around him, Ren has voluntarily started self-quarantine on December 15, and he and will receive additional PCR tests according to the measures of the public health center," Pledis Entertainment explained.

Due to this, NU'EST's Ren will be absent in the upcoming 2021 KBS Song Festival that is scheduled for December 17. NU'EST will be performing as four in the said event.
