57th Baeksang Awards Announces Winners For Drama & Film

Every year, the Baeksang Arts Awards recognize achievements in the film, television, and theater industries in South Korea. The 57th Baeksang Arts Awards ceremony took place in KINTEX Hall, Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province, on May 13 this year. Actress Bae Suzy and comedian Shin Dong Yup hosted the event.

JTBC's "Beyond Evil" took home the awards for Best Drama and Best Screenplay, as well as Best Actor in a Television Series for Shin Ha Kyun. Kim So Yeon, who starred in SBS's mega-hit "The Penthouse," was named Best Actress. Yoo Ah In won Best Actor for "Voice of Silence," and Jeon Jong Seo won Best Actress for "The Call" in the film category. Oh Jung Se earned a Best Supporting Actor award for his performance in It's Okay To Not Be Okay.

"The Book of Fish" won the Grand Prize for film, while Yoo Jae Suk took home the Grand Prize for television. The MBC variety show "How Do You Play?" hosted by Yoo Jae Suk also won the award for Best Variety Show.
