Google has revealed the release of Entertainment Space, a new entertainment center for Android tablets styled after its Kids Space game suite. Apps for video streaming, sports, and books will be available via the platform.

In comparison to the previous year, the technology company claims that over 30% more users are starting to use Android tablets.

Tablets have largely been ignored by Google for many years. The form factor has been seen as dead to many users since the people behind Android rarely create unique content to maximize the big screens of tablets.

Entertainment Space is a one-stop location where you can find all of your favorite films, shows, music, games, and books in one convenient location. You'll save time by not having to shift between applications to find out what you want to do, whether it's watch, enjoy, or read. If you've signed in to your streaming apps, Entertainment Space will display all of your content in one convenient location that's personalized to you. Everyone in the family could have their own customized profile if you want to share your tablet.

You can switch between your subscription channels, select movies and TV shows to enjoy, rent or lease from Google TV, and watch YouTube recommendations on the Watch page.

With Google Play Games, you can explore a world of fun and adventure with the Games tab in Entertainment Space. Return to your favorite games in the continue playing board, or try out any new games that have been suggested to you.

The Read tab is where you'll find the next chapter from Google Play Books, whether you're searching for your next read or already have a stack of books on your virtual nightstand. If your eyes get tired but you still want more stories, this segment even has audiobooks.

Entertainment Space will be available on Walmart onn. tablets starting this month. Later this year, the platform will be available on new and select existing Android tablets from Lenovo, Sharp, and others around the world.
