IZ*ONE Releases ‘Parallel Universe’ MV Dedicated To Fans
As a way of saying thank you to their longtime fans, IZ*ONE recently released a music video titled "Parallel Universe," a beautiful music video dedicated to WIZ*ONE's.
Clips used in the film were during the group's preparations for the "ONE, The Story" concert. The group's final concert before they officially disbanded in April. Netizens were emotional and touched by the video, some wishing that IZ*ONE's contract would be renewed and their career as a group should continue.
"ONE, The Story" concert happened on March 13 and 14 and was considered their last concert and performance as a group.
Mnet's official announcement of IZ* ONE's disbandment last month left fans emotional on social media as the group's fate has been sealed. Many hope that their management and label would consider giving them another project or contract to keep this popular girl unit to continue performing.
Mnet officially announced IZ* ONE's disbandment on March 10. Mnet, Swing Entertainment, and Off the Record discussed and shared their opinions regarding the group and its future in a statement. IZ*ONE officially debuted to the public on October 18, formed through Mnet's reality idol search show "Produce 48". The group is managed by Off the Record and Swing Entertainment.
The company expressed that they appreciate all the love and support that fans worldwide have given to IZ*ONE. A discussion of a possible contract extension happened early this year, but no updates of this report have been confirmed.
IZ*ONE is composed of the following girl members: Jang Won-young, Sakura Miyawaki, Jo Yu-ri, Choi Ye-na, An Yu-jin, Nako Yabuki, Kwon Eun-bi, Kang Hye-won, Hitomi Honda, Kim Chae-won, Kim Min-ju, and Lee Chae-yeon. Fans hope that they will remain together if a new unit will possibly be formed after April.
A crowdfunding campaign was made on WADIZ as a way to petition the extension of IZ*ONE's contract. The funding amount reached more than 737,000,000 Korean Won in just the first 10 minutes of the campaign.
