BLACKPINK'S Rosé happily articulates her new solo titled "On the Ground."

On March 12, Rosé's chart-topping "On the Ground" was launched by YG Entertainment. The song is one of two tracks included in the debut solo project named "R." After its release, it climbed to the number one spot on the Billboard 100, Billboard Global 200 as well as Billboard Global Excl US charts.

Rosé said , "I hadn't heard a song like that before," she says, "I didn't expect to hear a song like that because every song that we get or begin with doesn't have these kinds of messages in it. For us, it was kind of like, I think this song kinda speaks our mind."

"On The Ground" became another international achievement for Rosé. The music video defied a myriad of records which earned her the first South Korean artist to have garnered the largest number of views on YouTube. In just a day, her dance video got 41.6 million views.

This success signifies the second time a YG Entertainment-signed artist broke the record. A few years back, PSY, another South Korean artist, reached the top with his fascinating blockbuster, "Gangnam Style."

Many happy fans are publicizing Rosé's exponential dominance on the American charts. Others communicated their sincere appreciation for Rosé's accomplishment on different social media.

K-pop expert and Billboard columnist Jeff Benjamin noted that Rosé's chart position had been the second-highest peak in the history of a K-pop soloist Hot 100. Her "On the Ground" song established 92.1 million simulcasts over 29,000 global digital single sales. . It secured nearly 6.4 million streams in the US and moved approximately 7,000 paid downloads during the tracking week, which started from March 12 to 18.

BLACKPINK's Rosé is the group's second member to go solo during the girl group's life which followed Jennie's "Solo" in 2018. Despite Rosé's success, both of her feet are still "On the Ground."
