BLACKPINK's Rose has set another record after it was announced that the Korean-Australian K-pop star had become the Korean female soloist with the highest pre-ordered album in the history of Korea's music industry.

Rose's first solo album "R" sales have reached stock pre-orders of 404,318 CDs, 49, 058 KiT versions, and 52, 129 LPs. She has now achieved over a total of 500,000 stock pre-orders.

The digital release of the album was on March 12, with the physical album slated for release today as announced. This number is not only sales in Korea, but it also reflects the sales made by the album in the international ring. Countries such as China, the United States, Japan, and parts of Europe have greatly raised those numbers.

The release of Rose's title track "On The Ground" has garnered massive success. On Spotify, Rose's "On The Ground" and "Gone" are in the number one and second place, respectively, in their charts.

Furthermore, Rose may break another record by becoming the first Korean female solo artist to claim a UK Top 40 single by the end of this week. Fans are clamoring to stream her music and the entire album in hopes that "R" will break the glass ceiling further.

The official music video of the title track of "R" has also been announced as the highest YouTube MV premiere for a solo artist, garnering 1.2M views in less than 24 hours. Currently, the video has gone on to amass a staggering 43 million views a day after its release.

Although, this success is not brand new to the songstress as her group BLACKPINK is also one of the most successful girl groups to ever come out of Korea. Their first full album, "The Album," also reached over a million in stock pre-records sale, breaking records.
