BTS rocked the world after it was announced that they were nominated for a Grammy, the Korean boy band is the first K-pop band to ever get nominated for a Grammy award twice.

It was announced last week that that 7-member group was announced to be nominated for the Pop Duo/Group Performance for their song "Dynamite." Other artists in the mix were Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Lil Nas X and others.

Unfortunately, the boys lost the award to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande's "Rain On Me." The BTS boys were going strong as the winning contender for the award, but the formidable star power of both Gaga and Grande rose to the top.

This is not the first time that the group was nominated for a Grammy Award. In 2018, BTS's LP "Love Yourself: Tear" won a nomination for a recording package, although the nomination technically went to the HuskyFox, the design firm involved in the LP.

In 2020, the group also performed for the Grammy's as part of Lil Nas X's medley of "Old Town Road," where the group's edit "Seoul Town Road" was one of the highlights of the telecast. BTS is also set to perform at the 2021 Grammy.

Fans have shown their support for BTS as they point out that the group keeps on smashing records and that the Grammy Award Show is losing its relevance.

BTS's win would have marked a major achievement for the K-pop music industry. The worldwide recognition of the group has greatly helped that K-pop scene, and fans are wondering why the group has not been nominated for other prestigious categories in the Grammy this year despite the success they have achieved.

Big Hit Entertainment has not yet released a statement regarding BTS losing the Grammys. But, the boys have always been fair, and fans are sure they will come out of the nomination a better group.
