With the current pandemic and unhealthy lifestyles on the rise, it's no wonder why some people change their ways for the better-like going vegetarian, for example.

Regardless of the mixed opinions about this lifestyle, some South Korean celebrities voiced out and shared their vegetarian life with their followers, hoping that they would possibly do the same or inspire them to make healthier choices.

So who are these celebrities that turned vegetarian? First, we have Claudia Kim, or better known as Kim Soo-hyun. Two years ago, she shared that she was a pescatarian and a vegetarian who only eats dairy products and seafood. She has never eaten any meat products since.

Kim is notable for her appearance in the 2015 movie "The Avengers: Age of Ultron." She also expressed her difficulty being a vegetarian in Korea as there were many hoesik (after-hour dinner meetings) at meat restaurants. She also had to deal with the fact that the majority of the food catering services offered during the shooting sites were only meat-based foods.

Actor Im Soo-jung went vegan in 2015 has been very open about it. She also had talks related to being vegan in the country and also making contributions to South Korea's vegan community. She had to make this lifestyle change all for health reasons. In her social media account, she has been quite active recommending local vegan restaurants and introducing vegan dishes to her followers.

The next person is Tzuyu, one of the members of the popular K-pop girl group TWICE. Last year, during an appearance in the FM4U radio program "Kim Shin-young's Noon Song of Hope," she said she was already starting a pescatarian diet. When asked why she made this choice, she said that she just wants to.

These are just three of the many celebrities that made the vegetarian change. We will cover more of these celebrities. In a way, their health choices may be considered as an inspiration for their followers to do something better for their health.
