BTS And Blackpink Are Nominated For Nickelodeon’s 2021 Kids' Choice Awards
Korean media and way of life have been raging all throughout the globe with its K-Drama and movies, K-beauty products, and most importantly, K-Pop. K-Pop's influence can be seen all over the internet and in public, with K-Pop covers and fashion going viral and becoming part of the norm.
The largest fans of K-Pop are predominantly younger generations, and with that being said, two of the most popular K-pop groups in the world usually come to mind when bringing up K-Pop, and both of them usually compete in both Korean and international music charts with their latest MVs and songs. So it is no surprise that BTS and Blackpink have been nominated in the Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards 2021.
Awards season has finally begun, and Nickelodeon has announced their nominees for the Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards.
YG Entertainment's Blackpink got two nominations. The nominations being: Favorite Music Group and Favorite Music Collaboration for their single "Ice Cream" with Selena Gomez.
Big Hit's BTS received nominations in three categories. The nominations being: Favorite Music Group, Favorite Song for their single "Dynamite," and Global Music Star.
BTS is no stranger to the Nick's Kids' Choice Awards, however, because they already bagged the title of "Favorite Global Music Star" way back in 2018.
This means that both K-pop groups, BTS and Blackpink, are competing in the category: Favourite Music Group. Other entertainers such as OneRepublic, Maroon 5, The Jonas Brothers, and Black Eyed Peas are also nominated in the Favourite Music Group category.
The 2021 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards will be on March 13, 7:30 p.m. ET/PT. It will air on all Nickelodeon channels, Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons, and the Nick Jr.
