IU

A couple of days ago, last January 27, IU, one of South Korea's most famous and renowned artists, released her new song, "Celebrity." Not only did she get the highest digital sales, but she also reigned with the highest number of streams.

Moreover, the song had garnered large numbers on digital sales. Additionally, at that same time, she topped the Billboard K-Pop 100 chart, being number one for a while last February 6. For the second straight week, IU is still on top as she is still on Billboard K-Pop 100's list.

The world-renowned singer-songwriter and actor made her debut in 2008. She released her first album, "Growing Up," during that time. After that, IU has won a plethora of laurels. She has the highest number of number one songs in South Korea, with a record-breaking 24 number-one songs on Gaon Digital Chart. Backing that up is a handful of listings on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100. IU has had the most number of weeks at number one, that being 52 of her songs being on Billboard K-Pop Hot 100.

As noted above, IU's new song "Celebrity" keeps breaking boundaries. But IU's older songs still continue to rank high on the chart. Notably, her famous collaboration with BTS' Suga, entitled "Eight," entered at No. 10 last week and currently set the record, being 26 weeks, for the longest-charting song within the top 10 of Billboard's K-pop 100 chart. In addition, IU's "Eight" rose to No. 6 this week, making this the song's 27th time to make it to the top 10.

IU has now achieved the third-longest PAK. A Perfect All-Kill is dubbed to a song when it goes number 1 on the daily and real-time charts of iChart and South Korea's major charts.

Currently, K-Pop fans are excited for IU's birthday song since her birthday is coming soon. This is expected to be another hit and is almost certainly assured to be nothing short of record-breaking.
