TWICE Performs At The 2020 Asia Artist Awards + The Weekend's Winners
The Asia Artist Awards was back in the weekend, November 28th, and in its 2020 edition after conducting its previous awarding ceremonies in 2016, many popular and upcoming K-Pop artists were awarded in different categories.
BTS (Big Hit Entertainment), GOT7 (JYP Entertainment), MONSTA X (Starship Entertainment), NCT (SM Entertainment), and TWICE (JYP Entertainment) won the Daesangs or the Grand Prizes.
Song of the Year went to BTS for "Dynamite," Performance of the Year was won by GOT7, MONSTA X bagged Stage of the Year, Im Young Woong for Trot of the Year, Album of the Year went to NCT, and Artist of the Year was won by TWICE.
JYP Entertainment's K-Pop girl group TWICE was also one of the featured performances during the awarding event. They sang and performed two of their songs, "I Can't Stop Me" and "More & More." They dazzled on stage with amazing lighting and design during their stellar performance.
Recently, TWICE's "Heart Shaker" also became their seventh music video to reach 350 million views.
Here are more of the winners at the Asia Artist Awards. Focus Singers were AleXA and ONEUS; Focus Actor winner was Ahn Eun Jin for "Hospital Playlist"; Best New Artists in the Singer category were TREASURE and SECRET NUMBER; Best New Artists in the Actor category are Han So Hee and Lee Jae Wook; Potential Singer awards were given to IZ*ONE and CRAVITY; Potential Actor awards were given to GOT7's Jinyong and Kim Hye Yoon; Groove was awarded to BigMan; and the Scene Stealer Award went to Kim Min Jae for "Peninsula."
Meanwhile, Lee Joon Gi won Asia Celebrity in the Actor category; WayV and Kang Daniel won Asia Celebrity in the Singer category; Stray Kids won Best Music Video; MAX and Anne-Marie bagged Best Pop Artist; Hot Issue Awards in the Singer category were given to ITZY and Im Young Woong; and Hot Issue Awards in the Actor category were awarded to Seo Ye Ji and Kim Soo Hyun for "It's Okay To Not Be Okay."
Other winners were Park Ju Hyun, PENTAGON, NCT Dream, Kim Seon Ho, Song Ga In, Super Junior, and so much more. The 2020 Asia Artist Awards was hosted by Leeteuk of Super Junior.
