ARMYs rejoice! BTS just made history as being the first-ever South Korean artist to be nominated for the prestigious music awards.

The group was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their worldwide hit "Dynamite", which they released in August of this year. Fans were elated to hear their nomination and the group trended worldwide as fans from all over the world congratulated the group on this monumental feat.

The group also shared a message for the fans, thanking them for making this miracle come true. Along with the message, they also posted on Twitter a sweet and endearing video of four of the members' reactions to their nomination. The video had RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook staying up and waiting for the news. As soon as they heard their names, they were so happy and could not believe it. Three of the members just stood up and even shouted their happiness while V continued to sit on the couch, looking like he was really surprised.

Apparently BTS gave submissions to seven categories for the 2021 Grammys, including Best Pop Vocal Album and Song of the Year, but was only nominated for one category. While the boy group is already happy with this one nomination, there are some who speculated that the group should have been nominated for more than one. After all, they topped the charts, had so many sold out tours, and their album sales, both physical and digital had amazing numbers as well.

The other nominees in their category include Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande for "Rain On Me", Justin Bieber featuring Quavo for "Intentions", J Balvin, Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny, and Tainy for "Un Dia", and Taylor Swift and Bon Iver for "Exile".

The Grammy Awards will be held on January 31 while the final rounds of voting will be from December 7 to January 4.
