SM Entertainment Introduces Karina, Second Member of New Girl Group aespa

SM Entertainment just introduced the second member of their new girl group, aespa. A day after the first member, Winter, was introduced to the public, the entertainment company has now introduced Karina. 

Karina's real name is Yoo Jimin, and her name has already created a buzz a month ago. She was shown in the choreography for SHINee's Temin's video for his song 'Want'. She was already a popular SM trainee, but she caught the ire of many netizens when she allegedly said some insults to her seniors in the industry, including BTS and fellow SM artist, EXO. SM denied all these allegations and claimed that they were taking the necessary steps to file lawsuits against those who are spreading false rumors. 

Meanwhile, Lee Soo Man, the founder of SM Entertainment, has announced that aespa will not only have real-life members, but virtual members as well.  He made this announcement during the 2020 WCIF (World Cultural Industry Forum) where he says that avatars of the idol will be made, which can act as a friend and reliable assistant. During the forum, two more members of aespa were shown. They are Ningning and Aeri. It is unknown if these four will be the only real-life members of the new girl group, or more will be announced in the coming days. The group is expected to make a debut sometime in November.
