BTS, TWICE, Super Junior, TXT, & More To Headline 2019 Lotte Duty Free Family Concert
Korea's Lotte Duty Free has dropped its official lineup for its upcoming 2019 Lotte Duty Free Family Concert in August. K-pop groups BTS, TWICE, Super Junior, and more are set to headline the three-day event.
The 2019 Lotte Duty Free Family Concert will be held from August 9 to 11 at 6 p.m. KST at the KSPO Dome. The first day of the event, titled K-Live Concert, will feature appearances by Ji Chang Wook, Kim Gun Mo, and Kim Yeon Woo as well as BOL4 and Im Chang Jung.
The second day, titled K-Beat Concert, will feature hip-hop performances from MFBTY, Dynamic Duo, MKIT RAIN, VMC, and Heize. The final day of the event will be a K-Pop Concert extravagant featuring BTS, TWICE, Super Junior D&E's Donghae and Eunhyuk, Stray Kids, TXT, ITZY, and Hwang Chi Yeol. All of the artists on the third-day lineup had comeback releases this year.
K-pop fans have expressed excitement over the lineup as they anticipate special performances from Big Hit family and JYP Nation. Both BTS and TXT are artists of Big Hit Entertainment while TWICE, Stray Kids, and ITZY are from JYP Entertainment.
If BTS and TXT will prepare a stage collaboration for the Lotte Duty Free concert, this will be their first-ever joint performance on stage. The labelmates have yet to perform together on stage since TXT debuted in March. Fans, however, already saw the two groups together on stage when BTS won awards in several music shows.
According to Lotte Duty Free, tickets for the 2019 music festival will be presented on a first-come, first-served basis to customers who purchase over $600 at Lotte Duty Free's Myeong-dong headquarters, World Tower, COEX, Incheon International Airport, and Gimpo International Airport.
The Lotte Duty Free Family Concert is an annual music festival that is hosted by travel retailer giant, Lotte Duty Free. As the company celebrates its 29th year anniversary this year, it added another day on its concert event.
The family concert was held for only two days in June 2018. It was attended by some 100,000 fans. Organizers are expecting a bigger audience turnout this year as Hallyu wave has been hitting the global market.
