Leading Video Game Companies Hold News Conferences To Open E3

Jade Raymond is working with Electronic Arts to make an "Assassin's Creed-Style" game, according to PC Gamer.

Electronic Arts or EA is famous for publishing different video games on different platforms with different gaming genres. EA has published the "Sims" gaming franchise, "Battlefield" gaming franchise, "Dragon Age" gaming franchise, and many more.

Jade Raymond, former Ubisoft producer and co-creator of "Assassin's Creed" game franchise, has now joined hands with EA to start making "gigantic action games" which has the gameplay style of "Assassin's Creed," "Grand Theft Auto," "Batman: Arkham Knight," and other games with the same gameplay, according to Eurogamer.net.

"We've never really operated in the largest genre of gaming, and that's the action genre," said EA financial boss Blake Jorgensen. "That's the Assassin's Creed-style games; more open-world, more single-play versus multiplayer. It's not been an area that we've operated in."

Jorgensen said the Raymond joined EA to help the company move into the action genre, according to Gamespot.

"We recently hired Jade Raymond, who was behind the Assassin's Creed franchise for Ubisoft and she will be building an action genre for us through a studio we're building out in Montreal right now," continued Jorgensen. "So a lot of excitement around the action genre."

The new Montreal studio that Raymond will be heading is called Motive Studios, according to PlayStationLifeStyle.net. The studio was announced last July.

The studio is also working with Visceral Games with a new "Star Wars" game and another new game, according to sources. On the Motive Studios website, it stated that Raymond excited to bring new ideas to life with her new role as the leader of the new studio.

Eurogamer.net speculated that the new project will be Bioware's other project, which will be a new IP. It was described to have a near-future post-apocalyptic environment.
