Many fans were puzzled as to why Red Velvet member Irene and BLACKPINK's Jennie swapped dance choreographies during their performances in Music Bank. Irene has an answer to that and it is sweet and cute.

During their appearance on SBS Love FM's Kim Chang Ryul's Old School, Red Velvet talk about their latest EP, RBB (Really Bad Boy): The 5th Mini Album, and its title track "RBB (Really Bad Boy)." Irene was asked how she and Jennie borrowed each other dance choreographies during their performance at the music show.

The SM Entertainment artist revealed that it was Jennie who first told her that she wants to learn Red Velvet's choreography. Apparently, Jennie wants to learn a particular dance move of RV because she would like to do it on the freestyle part on her solo single, titled "SOLO." Knowing that, Irene taught the YG Entertainment singer the dance move of making a double "V" sign over her face and Jennie opened her song with the exact move.

To return the sweet gesture, Irene also learns Jennie's cute index finger gesture. She used it during Red Velvet's performance of RBB on Music Bank.

"I also have a freestyling part in the middle [of RBB] and said that I would dance to Jennie's choreography then, so I learned hers too," Irene added.

Fans of Red Velvet and BLACKPINK enjoyed the added choreographies in their stages on Music Bank. They also expressed appreciation of Irene and Jennie's friendship and how confident the two on their talent. Many ReVeluvs and Blinks are excited to see where Irene and Jennie's friendship will lead.

Jennie has revealed in the past that she is a fan of Red Velvet. During Irene's birthday celebration with her fans earlier this year, she received a FaceTime request from Jennie.

Upon learning that Irene is having a fan meeting and showing to Jennie her fans in attendance, the BLACKPINK members told Irene that she will call back some other time so the latter could enjoy her time with her fans. But before ending the call, Jennie said she is also a "luvie" which is another term for Red Velvet's fandom ReVeluv.

Meanwhile, Red Velvet is currently the success of their latest EP. It debuts at No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums and No. 2 on the World Albums charts this week. According to Billboard, RBB sold 5,000 equivalent album units in the week ending December 6, which makes it Red Velvet's biggest sales week ever in the U.S.

The K-pop female group also score their first No. 1 on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart with the title track "RBB (Really Bad Boy)." It sold 2,000 downloads in the U.S. in the week ending December 6.
