EXO's Sehun Makes Fans' Heart Flutter With New Promo Photos For K-Movie 'Dokgo Rewind'
Few more days before the premiere of Dokgo Rewind but fans of EXO member Sehun can no longer hold their excitement as new promotional photos of the singer have been released. Sehun shows off the two sides of his character in the new set of images for the webtoon movie.
Sehun is playing two characters in Dokgo Rewind. Kang Hyuk, who is a fighter, and Kang Hoo, a timid model student. The newly-released still images show Sehun in both characters.
The singer is seen on a motorcycle while portraying Kang Hyuk with his rugged hairstyle and outfit and a sharp gaze. Kang Hoo, on the other hand, is the exact opposite of Kang Kyuk. Hoo is a gentle boy who enjoys studying. He is seen in the new stills in his neat hairstyle, a pair of glasses, refined clothes, and gentle expression.
Dokgo Rewind is based on a popular online comic series Dokgo and it stands as its prequel. The original webtoon is a popular manga series which amasses approximately five million views every week and earning 2.3 billion won (about $2 million) in total sales.
The prequel is all about three students from diverse backgrounds who bond together to fight against school violence. Kang Kyuk wants to avenge the death of his brother, Kang Hoo, at the hand of some bullies. Kim Jong Il (Cho Byung Kyu) is a formal delinquent but loyal friend who cut ties with his former gang while and Pyo Tae Jin (Ahn Bo Hyun) is a talented wrestler who decided to leave the sport behind him.
The webtoon film also recently released a teaser that features the three main characters hilariously fighting. Dokgo Rewind is expected to add more thrill to the Dokgo universe with its action scenes and interesting storyline. Watch the movie trailer below.
The movie also stars gugudan member Mina as Kim Hyun Sun. Dokgo Rewind will be released through Kakao Page and oksusu on September 7.
Meanwhile, it has been a busy year for EXO member Sehun. Aside from Dokgo Rewind, he also portrays the lead role in the upcoming South Korean-Chinese romantic-fantasy film Catman. The movie has no release date as yet but it is expected to be premiere in cinemas this year.
Sehun recently appeared Netflix's series Busted! along with another gugudan member Sejeong. He also played one of the six male lead characters in Secret Queen Makers which also aired this year.
