2PM fan interaction event has been officially canceled after fans accused the band's label JYP Entertainment of exploiting the Hottest to gain profit. The agency issued an apology then eventually decided to cancel the 2PM's event altogether.

JYP Entertainment has received intense backlash from fans as soon as the agency released the details of the 2PM upcoming event. The agency explained that the number of fans that they can accommodate in the special events is limited due to the nature of the venue. The 2PM exhibition, titled 10 Seasons, was scheduled from September 4 to 23 at The Seouliteum. It is supposed to mark the band's 10th anniversary.

Prior to the cancellation, 2PM fans claim the agency is trying to use them for profit. The hashtag #JYP_Cancel_Events_CheatingOutFans has been trending on social media.

Apparently, a ticket for the exhibition costs 20,000 KRW ($18 USD) for official Hottest members and 25,000 KRW ($22 USD) for non-Hotttest. The exhibition will be hosting a series of special events for attendees including a mini fan meeting and a special tour with 2PM members.

However, the special tour is only available to 30 lucky winners while only 50 winners could attend the mini fan meeting. 2PM fans are protesting the system on how the winners will be chosen as well as the number of fans that could participate in the special events.

The winners will be chosen via lottery. Fans have to purchase MD, lottery tickets, taking part in events which require purchases, and more to qualify in the lottery. This sparked concern among 2PM fans, saying there were fans of K-pop bands in the past who purchased thousands of albums just for the lottery but still failed to win.

"Please stop deceiving us fans, acting like you're giving us a chance to enter in these great events but really it's just worrisome for all of us because everybody's concerned about getting in, spending money," one fan commented.

"Treating us like ATMs from start to finish, do you know how many random, random events we've spent money on all these years," another fan wrote.

JYP Entertainment issued an apology to 2PM's fans upon learning about the fan club concern. Then the agency eventually decided to cancel the event.

"We've taken fans' opinion into account and decided to cancel the member interaction event that was announced in the previous notice. We ask for understanding of how the location makes it difficult to have a member interaction event with many fans. We once again apologize to the fans and the members who've dearly waited with excitement," JYP Entertainment said in a statement.

2PM debut in 2008. Originally, the members were part of a larger group known as One Day.  Eventually, the band was split into two groups: 2PM and 2AM. The latter has released six Korean and five Japanese albums since their debut.
