GOT7's Jackson Collaborates With Various Chinese Artists While Fans Wait For His Solo Album
GOT7 member Jackson will be featured in a track of another Chinese artist while his fans are clamoring for a solo album from the K-pop idol. Jackson has teased his recent collaboration with Chinese rapper Al Rocco in a snap he shared on Instagram.
The two are seen in the photo filming the music video of Al Rocco's upcoming single "Bruce Lee." By the looks of the duo, fans could expect a hip-hop track from the artists. "Bruce Lee" is scheduled to drop on July 15. It will be released in China.
Jackson was earlier featured in the song of another Chinese singer. Tia Ray, in April, released her collaboration single "Lucky Rain" with the GOT7 idol. Last week, Ray dropped the music video of the track. It has futuristic scenes that showcase the symbols of water and fire.
Although both songs thrilled Jackson fans, they would like to see his own album in the charts too. Back in May, Jackson dropped his third solo single "Dawn Of Us." However, it doesn't seem enough to his avid followers, and they are asking for at least a mini-album.
It was over a year ago since JYP Entertainment announced the release of Jackson's first solo album in China. The label said Jackson founded his own agency, called Team Wang, in China so that it can manage all of his activities in the country. No solo album has been released so far, and Jackson fans are hoping that his Team Wang will make it possible soon.
The idol's fandom believes that Jackson will make it to the top of music charts especially with his latest achievements as a solo artist. The singer's own YouTube channel already reached one million subscribers while his Instagram account has 10 million followers.
In addition, Jackson has also been nominated for the Choice Next Big Thing category at the 2018 Teen Choice Awards. He is the only Korean solo artist that received a nod from the award-giving body. Other nominees for the category are BLACKPINK, NCT, Stray Kids, Jacob Sartorious, and MattyBRaps. The 2018 Teen Choice Awards will air on August 12 at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
