'Hawaii Five-0' Season 9 Might Bring Back Beloved Character, Alex O'Loughlin, Scott Caan Possibly Reuniting With Grace Park
The upcoming season of Hawaii Five-0 has yet to begin production, but fans are already wondering what will happen when Steve McGarrett returns to the small screen. There are speculations about which characters will be making an appearance in Hawaii Five-0 Season 9 when Alex O'Loughlin decides to leave more of the action sequences to the newer cast members. But is there any possibility that O'Loughlin and Scott Caan will be reunited with a former co-star who has already left the CBS series?
Fans were undoubtedly dismayed when it was announced that Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park were leaving the show when CBS was unable to give them equal pay. Nevertheless, people have been hoping that Chin Ho Kelly and Kono Kalakaua would return for at least one episode for a touching reunion with Steve McGarrett and Danny Williams. Although it is unclear whether Kim will be back, there have been hints that Park could reprise her role in Hawaii Five-0 Season 9.
Kono Kalakaua did not appear in the eighth season, but her absence managed to lend some depth to Adam Noshimuri's storyline. Nevertheless, Ian Anthony Dale's character was somehow written out of the series as his connections to the Yakuza proved to be too dangerous. Interestingly, Adam's plan to join Kono in the mainland may have been a clue to what could happen in Hawaii Five-0 Season 9.
Some believe that Adam Noshimuri will still be a major part of Hawaii Five-0 Season 9. The character might go back to Honolulu to explain what really happened in Season 8. Adam's return could also offer a way to bring back Grace Park in a surprise cameo where Kono Kalakaua is supportive of her husband. It would also be a great way to address the character's departure.
It is important to point out that CBS has not yet confirmed whether Grace Park will be a guest star later this year, so it is best to take the information with a grain of salt. Hawaii Five-0 Season 9 will begin production in early July and is set to premiere by September.
