'NCIS: Los Angeles' Season 10 Update: Andrea Bordeaux Hints Hidoko's Departure; Who Else Is Not Coming Back To Next Installment?
NCIS: Los Angeles fans will have to wait for four more agonizing months before they finally know who survived the deadly explosion in the season finale. NCIS LA Season 9 left a tragic cliffhanger in the finale that aired on Sunday. Many fans fear that one or more of the four main characters of the series could die in the explosion.
NCIS LA fans have reason to be worried. Even Hetty (Linda Hunt) has a bad feeling about the recent event that involved her top agents. By the looks of Hetty's face after she witnessed the explosion that tore the SUV which carried her agents, clearly, even she has doubts if all of her four agents survived the catastrophic blast.
NCIS LA viewers know that Hetty doesn't show fear or panic even in the toughest situations she had been through, and her instinct is always right. Her face towards the end of the episode spells fear.
Like the viewers, Hetty has a reason to be extremely worried about her people's lives. She knew that in case Callen (Chris O'Donnell), Sam (LL Cool J), Kensi (Kensi (Daniela Ruah), and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) survive the blast, their lives are still in jeopardy. They might be facing the wrath of Spencer Williams (Lamont Thompson) and his men next. They may suffer the same fate as the C.I. who spied on the notorious gun smuggling group in the penultimate episode.
In the back-to-back finale episodes over the weekend, the team traveled to Mexico against Hetty's better judgment. Their mission is to save Mosley's (Nia Long) son from the Williams, the arms dealer who took her son. They were able to rescue the kid and eventually got reunited with Mosley.
However, as Callen's team is on their way to the rendezvous point, their car was struck and blown by the deadly rocket launched by General Arturo Vasquez's men. Nothing is certain for now. Whether or not all four survive will only be revealed when NCIS Los Angeles returns in fall.
Meanwhile, Andrea Bordeaux has hinted that she may not reprise her role as Harley Hidoko, Mosley's executive assistant, next season. Prior to the season finale, Bordeaux shared a photo of her as Hidoko along with what seems to be a farewell message for her fans. In the post, the actress thanked the cast and crew and the people who supported her.
"Tonight is the season 9 finale of @ncisla and I just wanted to take a moment to say how grateful, humbled and honored I've been to be a part of this show. Thank you so much for the amazing cast and #thebestcrewinhollywood. Thank you to every director. Thank you to the service men and women who work in various positions on the show, whether as background or as our tactical experts.
"You make me proud to play a Marine. Thank you to the producers for giving me my big break. Thank you @cbstv. Thank you to all of the fans who have been so kind and supportive. I read every tweet, comment, DM, etc," she wrote on Instagram.
In the NCIS: Los Angeles Season 9 finale, Hidoko traveled to Mexico alone. When she never checked in when she arrived in the country, the team went looking for her. They were able to track Hidoko's last location in the middle of nowhere, but they couldn't find her. Callen and Sam only found some bone fragments in a huge file of ash. The team then assumed that Hidoko was killed by General Vasquez and Williams' men and they burned her body.
NCIS: Los Angeles has yet to confirm Bordeaux's exit. Like the others, Hidoko's fate will only be revealed when Season 10 premieres in fall.
