‘Attack On Titan’ Season 3 Spoilers: Someone Becomes Main Lead, Directors Tease Conflict Between Two Characters
With the Attack on Titan Season 3 release date fast approaching, new details about the upcoming season are now being teased to whet fans' appetites. This time, the hottest AoT news is all about a new protagonist as well as a peek into its plot where human versus human fights would play a bigger role.
A New Main Character
Levi is shaping up to become the main protagonist in Attack on Titan Season 3, according to Otakukart. This was revealed by both Director Araki and Kiozuka via Animedia earlier, but a recent confirmation by Tetsuya further cements the deal. "I think that's absolutely correct - he's pretty much at protagonist level," Nakatake Tetsuya confirmed.
This should be good news for all Levi fans out there. Tetsuya even teased that AoT Season 3 will really showcase Levis' qualities such as his adaptability, ability to make a strategy and being results oriented.
"In terms of the story especially, he's at the center of all the characters," Tetsuya added. "We can also recognize once more how nimble his mind works. If a company has a boss like this, I think the results/output would be quite good. Even if the staff members might suffer hardships."
Conflict Between Two Characters
In addition, directors Araki Tetsuro and Koizuka Masashi teased about the conflict between two characters in Attack on Titan Season 3. Both directors hinted that there would be a spectacular fight between Levi and Kenny in AoT Season 3. While the directors did not dwell too much on details, Araki suggests that Levi's "absolute fury" will be one of the seasons' highlight as he "releases every ounce of emotion...[they] had yet to portray."
Levi's conflict with Kenny in Attack on Titan Season 3 will be a big shift in how Levi was portrayed in the anime series. In the previous season, he was mainly seen in human versus titan battle, while human quarrels were generally not so action-packed. In AoT Season 3, however, human versus human conflict will play a bigger role in how the plot unfolds and their resulting scenes are something every AoT fans should look forward to.
