'Attack on Titan' Season 3 Release Date, News & Update: Hajime Isayama Wants To Do Better Episodes, Tetsuro Araki Teases What's To Come
After almost a year, fans will finally see Attack on Titan Season 3 back on the small screens. As people behind the series are now preparing for their imminent return, the show's creator Hajime Isayama said that this would give him a chance to do better episodes that correspond to the manga volumes.
In an interview included in Attack on Titan Season 2's Blu-ray box set released by Funimation, Isayama revealed his disappointment about the manga volumes that Attack on Titan Season 3 would be based on, according to IGN.
"After writing Volume 12, in the period between 13 and 16 was when I felt the most disappointed with my work," he said. However, the 31-year-old manga artist is hoping that he could have the chance to change that mistake and do something that he could be proud of.
The said manga volumes and Attack on Titan Season 3 would feature the Uprising story arc. It will show more violence mostly between humans, and it pretty gets brutal.
Meanwhile, teasing on what is about to come, the anime's director, Tetsuro Araki, revealed his excitement for the upcoming Attack on Titan Season 3, as per Comic Book. The 41-year-old animator explained that they had built a "wonderful teamwork" in the series' previous season, so they are about to continue what they have established in the third installment.
Araki also advised the fans to carefully watch those characters that have been revealed as Titans in Season 2 and "how their fates are settled." "We want to watch it soon, so I hope you all look forward to it," he said.
To recall, it was revealed that Eren Jaeger was not the only Titan Shifter in the previous season, but, also, Ymir. Reiner and Berthelot also came out to be Armored and Colossal Titans respectively.
Funimation has yet to unveil Attack on Titan Season 3's official release date, but there are reports that it will be out this July. It is also yet to be revealed how many episodes the third installment will have. The previous season only had 12 episodes compared to the first season that had 25. A compilation movie, on the other hand, of Attack on Titan Season 2, titled The Roar of Awakening, was released in Japan earlier this year.
