The popularity of K-pop artists continues to soar high. It was proven once again by K-pop group BTS. The Korean boy band has outshined Taylor Swift and other internationally renowned music artists at the 2018 Kids' Choice Awards over the weekend.

BTS won the Favorite Global Music Star blimp trophy at the annual Nickelodeon-produced awards ceremony. The Kids' Choice Awards is the biggest movie, television, and music event in which viewers worldwide can vote for their favorite acts. This is where the influence of BTS Army comes in. The seven-member band is currently the biggest K-pop act of South Korea. Its fan base, however, goes way beyond the borders of the county.

Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have successfully gained hundreds of millions of Army members in the U.S., South America, and in other parts of Asia. It is not surprising that they were able to beat the likes of Swift and other international artists such as Lorde (Australia/New Zealand), The Vamps (UK), Zara Larsson (Europe), Black Coffee (Africa), and Maluma (South America).

Unfortunately, the BTS members failed to attend the 2018 Kids' Choice Awards to receive their trophy. Their absence, however, was somewhat covered by this year's award ceremony host and certified BTS fanboy, John Cena.

The wrestler/actor took a nod to his favorite boy band dancing on stage to the tune of BTS' latest smashing single, "Mic Drop," during the show's opening. He may not hit the right J-Hope moves, but the BTS Army is definitely pleased with his performance. Cena had also made a shout-out to his favorite BTS members, J-Hope and RM, during the award ceremony.

BTS' Burn The Stage Documentary Series

Just in time for BTS' latest victory, the K-pop band's original docu-series, titled Burn The Stage, is set to premiere exclusively on YouTube Red this week. It will feature the behind-the-scenes footages of the group's 2017 Wings Tour as they travel in 20 cities across three continents for 300 days. It will also chronicle the biggest moments of the BTS' career last year, including their Top Social Artist award win at the Billboard Music Awards in May 2017.

The eight-episode series will run from March 28 to May 9 on YouTube Red. The first two episodes will be available through BTS' Bangtan TV channel at 8 a.m. PST. The first episode will be free to watch. However, the rest of the eight episodes could only be viewed by YouTube Red subscribers.

BTS fans can purchase the series through YouTube's on-demand service or can sign up for free service for two months. YouTube Red is available in the U.S., South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Mexico.
