Netizens are slamming EXO's Suho for his alleged insensitive remark towards people who are suffering from mental illnesses. The K-pop band member made funny faces during a live session on a social media platform in which he made a comment.

During Sehun's recently Instagram Live session, the EXO member asked his bandmate Suho to make faces. Suho obliged and also made some jokes. As he attempted to make faces, the singer uttered a remark that fans found discriminatory.

"It's weird. People will think I'm a mentally ill patient," Suho said in Sehun's Instagram Live session.

EXO fans and non-fans alike expressed their anger on different social media platforms. Many think that Suho's comment is discriminatory towards people with mental disabilities. Some fans also said they are embarrassed and upset given Suho's action. They likewise demanded Suho to apologize for his harsh comment and began using the hashtag #엑소_수호_비하발언_사과해, which translates to "EXO Suho apologize for your discriminatory comment."

"Why is everything so quiet even though Suho said something amazingly degrading on Sehun's Instagram Live. This is clearly discriminating against those who are mentally ill and disregarding their rights. Think before you say things. I'm embarrassed for you," wrote one fan (via AllKPop).

Although some slammed Suho, there are others who said EXO should not be criticized for the action of just one member.

"It's true that's Suho's mental illness comment is discriminatory and deserves criticism, but why is that a reason for EXO to fail?" said one fan.

The latest backlash on a K-pop idol came a few days after some members of Wanna One came under fire for their inappropriate remarks during a backstage conversation. The exchange was aired live on national TV. Netizens hit the K-group members, saying they are extremely disappointed with the band. Wanna One and their label already issued an apology for the inappropriate behavior of its members.

EXO's Suho and Sehun Relationship

Fans have known that two of the K-pop group members are really close friends. In fact, they had previously revealed that they are roommates. It seems like Suho and Sehun are comfortable with making jokes and revealing secrets about the each other.

In a previous TV appearance, Sehun revealed that he and Suho are untidy roommates. He said the "Dinner" singer doesn't know how to clean their room or his litters.

"I've been roommates with hyung (Suho) for about 5 years. He just leaves food and fruit peels next to my bed after he eats them, and he doesn't clean," said Sehun.

When asked if he cleans up his clutter, Sehun admitted that he doesn't, too. Suho said they eventually decided to split space in their room to resolve the issue. Both singers were also criticized by fans for being filthy.
