Since the official confirmation of Shameless Season 9, fans are eager to know its premiere date. Based on the airings of all the previous seasons, it is quite obvious that the upcoming season will either be aired at the end of 2018 or early 2019.

William H Macy will be reprising his role in Shameless Season 9 as the drunken father, Frank, who was seen recruiting Liam (Christian Isaiah) in planning a burglary at his rich friend's house in the previous season. The upcoming episode of Season 9 will pick up where it left off. 

Frank and his unpredictability

In an official trailer released last year, it was revealed that Frank would develop an interest in Buddhism and learn the Buddhist way of meditation. The trailer showed him visiting a Buddhist monastery, dressed as a monk and in mindfulness meditation. He was seen talking about acceptance, resurrection, and enlightenment with the Gallagher kids. The future of his character is unpredictable as it is known that he changes his character often. 

Emmy Rossum's is returning to the series

According to Express, Beautiful Creatures actress, Emmy Rossum will be reprising her role as the eldest daughter of the Gallagher clan, Fiona. She still has a lot to learn before reaching the "Margo" status in the much-awaited Season 9 of Shameless.

One of the series's executive producers, Nancy M. Pimental said to the media that Fiona still has a long way to go before she accomplishes her dream to become like her idol, Margo (Sharon Lawrence). She wants to become a real estate mogul and becomes as big as Margo.

Ford (Richard Flood) will be seen as a guest character in the series. A beautiful relationship between Fiona and Ford is expected to blossom in the upcoming episodes of Shameless Season 9.
