BTS Update: 'Mic Drop' Singers Are Puma's New Global Ambassadors
BTS once again continues to slay the world of fashion as they are recently announced to be Puma's new global ambassadors. After working for exclusive footwear collaboration with the brand, the "Mic Drop" singers now have a larger role to present the company around the world.
In a statement, via All KPop, Puma said that it has worked with BTS for different kinds of promotions being its brand model for four consecutive years. To recall, in July 2017, the group announced their collaboration with the footwear label, called Puma X BTS Court Star.
The shoes had a black-and-white theme that carried a logo, which was a hand holding a flower, especially designed by BTS. This move was another proof of the legacy the group would leave behind. Now, BTS will be more loved as the Puma's global ambassadors starting this year.
BTS just joined a long list of Hollywood A-listers who are also collaborating with the footwear brand. Some of them are Rihanna, who has Fenty x Puma collaboration, Selena Gomez, and, of course, Kylie Jenner.
Meanwhile, at the BTS' recent Billboard magazine cover shoot, the group took advantage of their time to talk about their favorite to go when they are on a tour. The South Korean boy band unanimously agreed that Brazil is their favorite place to visit, but it seemed like Suga had a hard time to choose.
"Every country and city is unique so I have many memories," he said. BTS went on to recall the places they loved to perform when J-Hope described North and South America "really hot" when they had a tour there.
Suga then added that South America is very different when it comes to "energy." He then teased J-Hope as the "prince of South America." The 24-year-old star can't help but deliver his own rendition of Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's hit song, "Despacito," after Suga mocked him.
Additionally, RM told their fans in Europe that they will soon visit the place this year. The video then ended with a message for the ARMY all over the world, saying that they should wait for their "next move." They, too, gave their biggest gratitude to all their supporters.
