Although winter is over in South Korea, Spring is still one of the best times to enjoy delicious Korean street food. One of the best things about these street food is that it allows you to leave your comfort zone; thus giving you an opportunity to learn more. 

Hotteok

One of the most sought-after Korean desserts is the Hotteok. The Hotteok is a Korean sweet pancake. It is warm and chewy, which makes it ideal during the cold season. It is made with glutinous rice dough and sweet honey-like syrup. It is fried and served hot in a paper cup. 

The owner of Hetteok-Dang said, "Winter is the perfect season to enjoy hotteok. Eating freshly friend hotteok in the freezing weather is the best way to taste the flavor. Be aware of the boiling hot sugar, as it easily overflows." 

Goguma

One of Korea's comfort food, this street food is baked sweet potato. It's starchy, soft, and sweet. This is best eaten while it's hot. 

Exotic Choices

If you're feeling more adventurous, you might want to check out other exotic choices on the streets. Try the chicken feet or the octopus that still is still squirming on your plate upon serving. All you have to do is douse it in hot sauce and it stops moving, and it's ready to eat!

Kimbap

If you're a fan of sushi, then you shouldn't miss Korea's version of sushi. It is made from cooked rice rolled in gim - dried sheets of laver seaweed. They are served in bite-sized slices, pretty much sushi sizes hence it is referred to as Korea's sushi.
