Janet Jackson, Jermaine Dupri Close Relationship Could Ignite Past Romance of Seven Years
It's been 5 years since Janet Jackson's split from her estranged husband Wissam Al Mana. The 50-year-old iconic singer somehow made it through the hard times amid reports that she could be rekindling past romance with a former lover, Jermaine Dupri.
After Jackson and Al Mana split in April of this year, she and Dupri started getting in touch with each other. An insider said that Jackson and Dupri have constant communication even she is on a concert tour. Another report says they both have a good relationship but other than that, she and Dupri are just friends, WonderWall reports.
Jackson and Al Mana's son, Eissa is almost four months old when they both separated ways. He was born on January 3 and completed her mother's dream.
Jackson's relationship with Al Mana did not work out well because of many factors. These include cultural differences and their religion. The couple would not agree to each other in terms of how to raise their son whose name means "Jesus" in Arabic, E! News has learned.
"Janet is a very shy woman and hates confrontation and avoids it at all cost. She doesn't regret her passed life because Wissam and her had a strong love at a time and made a healthy baby," the source says.
According to the unnamed source, Jackson is single and is good friends with Dupri. Both bestow a friendly and marvelous acquaintance and Jackson loves Dupri because he is always there for her. The source added that there could be more to the close relationship in the future, however, she has a lot of priorities right now. They both have seven long years of relationship before they broke up in 2009.
As of the moment, Jackson is keeping herself busy with concert tours and shows while being a hands-on mom to his almost 11-month-old son. As for her and Dupri, they still continue their communication and only time will tell if the two will be together again sometime in the future.
