Global Stable MIUI 9 Reaches Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 And Other Devices

Finally, the MIUI V9 Global Stable ROM is now officially released for Mi MIX 2.

Xiaomi continues with the MIUI 9 global rollout. Now the owners of the new Mi Mix 2 are reportedly getting the stable update of the platform with version V9.1.1.0.NDEMIEI.

The latest Xiaomi MIUI9 update has a package size of 1.4 GB, as reported by GSM Arena. Xiaomi MIUI 9 brings a bunch of new features like Split screen, Search for apps in the Dual apps settings and several design changes. The icons are new, animations for launching and exiting apps are also updated. Chinese tech giant did a lot of performance optimizations in the latest MIUI 9.

Another Xiaomi smartphone which starts receiving MIUI 9 software update is the Redmi 4. Starting November 22, Xiaomi's Redmi 4 users will be getting the MIUI 9 stable update on their smartphones, as reported by India Today.

Xiaomi has recently discontinued the support for six phones including Redmi Note 4G, Redmi 2, Mi 2/2S, Mi 4i, Redmi 2 Prime, and the Mi Note. The 'discontinuing' term means that these Xiaomi phones will not receive any more closed beta and public beta versions in the future after the MIUI 9.

As mentioned by Xiaomi it will roll out the MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM gradually to the all its devices, except the one for which it discontinued support. The update will be available as an over-the-air (OTA) release starting this December until January.

Xiaomi believes MIUI 9 is at par with stock Android OS. The tech giant had announced the roll-out schedule for MIUI 9 global stable ROM for India and revealed a list of Redmi and Mi phones which will be getting latest MIUI 9 in India. With the latest MIUI 9, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will join the Mi 6, Redmi Note 4, Mi 5, Mi5s Plus and Mi Max 2 as all of them already have the latest version of MIUI.
