'Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Anime' Adds Original and New Characters Including Voices Behind Them (TRAILER)

For more than 15years after the "Cardcaptor Sakura" anime ended its story with "Cardcaptor Sakura: The Sealed Card", many fans did not give up hope that a new story will come up. After waiting too long, the anime series "Cardcaptor Sakura: Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc" will feature new adventures that every Sakura and Syaoran fans should dare not miss.

CLAMP began the publication of "Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc sequel manga series and released it in Nakayoshi on June 3, 2016. According to AnineNewsNetwork, the third volume of the manga was shipped on September 3 along with a special bundled edition of "Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card-hen" Prologue - Sakura to Futatsu no Kuma OVA. Due to the large demand, the publishing company had to print more than 1.5 million copies.

The story of the manga started after Sakura graduated from Tomoeda Elementary School. Now a freshman, she had a dream that totally puzzled her. That is the part where "Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc" is going to begin its story.

On Tuesday, NHK disseminated that the anime series "Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc" will feature six additional characters. These characters are from the previous anime episodes and will reprise their roles. The main returning casts include Sakura Kinomoto, Keroberos, Tomoyo Daidoji, Syaoran Li, Yukito Tsukishiro/Yue, Toya Kinomoto, Eriol Hiiragizawa, and Kaho Mizuki.

The new anime series "Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card" will likewise bring to the small screen the following characters: Fujitaka Kinomoto, Spinel Sun, Nakuru Akizuki/Ruby Moon, Takashi Yamazaki, Chiharu Mihara, and Naoko Yanagisawa.

A set of new characters will also be featured in "Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card" including Akiho, as Sakura's new friend who is a transferee. Yuna is the caretaker of Akiho and makes sumptuous black tea and mouth-watering sweets.

Den of Geek! notes that "Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card" will officially air on January 7, 2018, Sunday. The language will be in Japanese but with an English subtitle. The anime series will still feature the same original voices of the characters from the previous series.
