Film Distributors Announce The Releasing Date Of 'Room No. 7'

The releasing date of the most awaited flick "Room No 7" was announced yesterday. As per the film distributors, the movie will release on November 15 this year.

Room No. 7 is a story of an owner and a part-time employee of a business that offers customers to watch DVDs in designated rooms. Do Kyung-soo will play the role of Tae Jung, a college student who works at a business to pay off his debts.

Another lead Shin Ha-Kyun is playing the character of Doo-Sik, who is the owner of the business. Shin Ha-Kyun is known for his notable work in films like Joint Security Area (2000), Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (2002), Save the Green Planet! (2003), and Welcome to Dongmakgol (2005).

"Room No 7" is connected to both the characters as Do has hidden a packet of drugs in the room while Shin has a corpse in the same room. The film revolves around the secrets of these two lead characters. On one hand, Do tries to unlock the door while Shin put all his efforts to keep the door locked.

A few days back, Shin Ha Kyun attended a press conference at Lotte Cinema in Seoul. On being asked about the reason for choosing "Room No. 7", Shin said, "I chose this particular project because it had a real story. It has a touch of humor mixed with a bit of thrill. I believe it's a story that many generations would be able to relate with."

Media passed on the same question to EXO's Do. To which he replied,"When I read the script of "Room No 7", I found it so entertaining.  This is the first time I am taking on a dark comedy genre and I always wanted to act out a figure like my character.  I even got a tattoo just for this role."

The film was first unveiled at Cannes Film Festival on May 18, 2017. "Room No.7" also had its world premiere at Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival.
