The politically-charged "Cult" has not even wrapped up its controversial seventh installment, but work has already started on "American Horror Story" Season 8. This month, it was revealed that Sarah Paulson has already signed up for the next installment.

The multi-awarded actor has been a member of the cast since Season 1 and, despite her increasingly busy schedule, it looks like she has no plans to leave the top-rated horror anthology just yet. Her involvement in the still-untitled Season 8 was revealed in a profile published by AdWeek

"In 2018, she'll begin production on Katrina, the third installment in Murphy's 'American Crime Story' anthology series for FX, and continue on the other Murphy FX anthology hit that started her meteoric rise, 'American Horror Story,'" the article mentioned. Apart from that, she will also star in three other movies: "Ocean's Eight," "The Post" and "Glass."

Not much information is available about "American Horror Story" Season 8 but an on-going fan theory claims that the anthology will likely feature the anticipated crossover between "Murder House" and "Coven." Digital Spy reported that "Cult" has a lot of similarities with Season 2, "Asylum."

Notably, Dr. Rudy Vincent (Cheyenne Jackson) reminded a lot of viewers of Season 2's "Dr. Oliver Threadson. Meanwhile, Ally's (Paulson) phobia of confined spaces was reminiscent of the entrapment of another character inside Briarcliff Manor of "Asylum."

Moreover, show creator, Ryan Murphy, himself has teased that a crossover season could happen sometime in the future. The publication hinted that the spirits from Season 1 could cross paths with the witches from Season 3.

Because last year's "Roanoke" also had many similarities with "Murder House." These past few seasons have prominently featured callbacks from previous seasons so many think that the crossover will happen in "American Horror Story" Season 8.

For now, this remains a theory and should be taken with a grain of salt. "American Horror Story: Cult" is still on the air and likely still has a lot more chaos to offer as it nears its finale in November on FX.
