'Once Upon a Time's' Colin O'Donoghue Teases Fans About His Character

The ABC drama series "Once Upon a Time" on its seventh season is anticipating for the return of Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan. Fans are left curious on their seats as to the meaning of the continued presence of Colin O'Donoghue on the show.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the producers stated that the Hook-centric hour on Friday in "an emotional curtain call." The show will definitely reveal the answers to the fan's queries about the show this week. In the episode, it features Emma, Hook, and Regina.

These three will answer to the distress signal from Henry which will bring them to a strange Enchanted Forest adaptation. In an interview with the EW, O'Donoghue talked about the upcoming episodes and his character's growing relationship with Emma.

O'Donoghue hinted out that there are changes in his character which the fans won't expect from Hook. Although he doesn't want to spoil the fans, he said people this will be another breakthrough to his character. He also assured that fans would find the "different side of Hook" interesting and unexpected.

However, he claimed that Roger, his Hyperion Heights counterpart, quite recognize Emma Swan from the storybook. Although he was not sure, the false memory sparks out a hint of recognition.

"It's a false memory that's being jogged more than anything," O'Donoghue admitted. "It's more of a spark of recognition. I think that he's not entirely sure who it is, but there's something there that he can't shake."

Meanwhile, O'Donoghue did not deny on ET about his excitement that Morrison was back to the Once Upon a Time Season 7. He admitted that he had a "great" and "fun" time working with her since they are working together every day for the past five years. When asked whether the blossoming relationship between Emma and Hook is a good thing or not, O'Donoghue admitted that it was a "good thing."

In another interview with Collider, Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis talked about the ABC TV show. The two revealed that Once Upon a Time Season 7 is a prequel of the evolution idea of the season. It will also feature Cinderella's journey, Lucy's struggle, and other topics.

Lana Parilla plays the role of Regina while Andrew J. West portrays Henry. ABC's Once Upon a Time airs at 8:00 p.m. every Fridays.
