Orange is the New Black Season 6

Plenty of things will change in "Orange is the New Black" Season 6. After the three-day riot that ended with the prisoners getting sent off to different facilities, nothing will ever be the same for Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) and the rest of the prisoners inside Litchfield Penitentiary.

Netflix has renewed the comedy series to up to Season 7, but Taryn Manning thinks that it could go on far longer. At some point, she predicts that the series will have an entirely new set of characters.

"It's not the traditional roll-out of a TV show - like 'Stranger Things' will end on Season 4 or 5 - but people are still watching and they can see it going in a different direction, it could go on forever," she told Digital Spy. "There could be another jail facility, there could be a whole new world of prisoners."

Manning also said that her character, Pennsatucky, might also exit the series. "At some point, I am going to bow out!"

She also commented on the quality of "Orange is the New Black" Season 5. The most recent season saw prisoner gain control over Litchfield Penitentiary to demand better living conditions and justice for Poussey (Samira Wiley).

The series received mixed reactions and even show creator Jenji Kohan admitted that it was not their best. However, Manning felt that the response of the audience has been mostly positive and, at the end of the day, that is what matters.

"Orange is the New Black" Season 6 has already started filming. The upcoming season is expected to pick up immediately after the events of the Season 5 finale that saw Piper, Alex (Laura Prepon), Red (Kate Mulgrew) and a few others stand side-by-side as the riot police infiltrate their bunker.

All episodes of the new seasons will drop in 2018. Meanwhile, Season is still streaming on Netflix.
