TVXQ Yunho Almost Gave Up His Career for Being a Soldier; Here's Why

TVXQ has made its first appearance on television after the members were discharged from the military. One of the South Korean boy band's members revealed that he almost gave up his career being a K-pop idol for being a soldier. That member is none other than Yunho.

Spoiler alert: this contains spoilers for one of the episodes of "Happy Together 3" were TVXQ members guest starred. This has not aired yet. That said, fans of the said program should not read on unless they want to be spoiled.

In the upcoming episode of "Happy Together 3," TVXQ members will give the fans some glimpses of their life inside the military camp.  The members will share some details that were never revealed before. One of the stories they shared about Yunho with the audience during the shoot was quite a bit shocking. According to Naver, the members revealed that Yunho received an offer to become a regular soldier.

To recall, the singer achieved a special class during his military service. He garnered a score of more than 90 in shooting, physical and mental strength, as well as in combat training. The South Korean army commended his performance and even posted it on the military's official Twitter account. After some time, TVXQ member Yunho received the said request.

The TVXQ member confessed that he really did consider joining the army. He joked that he also took into consideration is the "first celebrity career staff sergeant" until Changmin got discharged from the army. Changmin voiced that if he were in Yunho's position, he would not mind being a normal soldier.

Hearing the revelation, Lee Seung Chul, who also made an appearance on the upcoming show, noticed how passionate the TVXQ member is. He jokingly said that he would like to have Yunho as his son-in-law. See Yunho and the others as "Happy Together 3" airs this episode tonight.
