Award-winning British artist, Sam Smith, released his long awaited single entitled, "Too Good at Goodbyes" last September 8. It had been three years since he released his debut studio album, "In the Lonely Hour" in which most songs became worldwide hits.

"Writings on the Wall" was his last single which was released in 2015 for the James Bond film, "Spectre." Sam Smith fans have waited for so long a new song from him. As expected, he never disappoints. Smith said that "Too Good at Goodbyes" is song about his previous relationship and about "getting good at getting dumped" in a Billboard article. He further said that it has been a long time since he released any music out and that the first single sets the tone for the coming songs on his newest album.

When asked about his relationship status now, Sam Smith disclosed that he is "insanely single" more single than he was during "In the Lonely Hour" as written by People. He was then asked if he's ready to move on, he stated that he is ready for "something positive" and that his relationship in the past year, made him stronger and learned some lessons.

Though we expect that most of his songs are from his personal experiences, Smith claims that his album is not all about him. He said that there are only four songs that are about him while the others are from the things and experiences of people around him. He said that he wants his album to be about his voice and the storytelling of his experiences.

Smith was asked about his social media hiatus last year and answered that he wanted to be catch up with his family and friends again. He further stated that fame and its effect scared him and made him distant with his loved ones. He confessed that if he's not close with his family, he is not the best person he can be. He focused on other people and not on himself for one year and it made him feel wonderful.

His newest album will be released before Christmas this year. Meanwhile, listen to "Too Good at Goodbyes" below.
