Outlander Season 3

Jamie (Sam Heughan) did not get to watch his own daughter, Brianna, grow up, but fans can expect the father and child to be reunited in "Outlander" Season 3. However, when the two characters eventually meet, do not expect hugs and kisses.

By the end of Season 2, a pregnant Claire )Catriona Balfe) went back to her own time in order to escape the Battle of Culloden. She gave birth and raised her and Jaimie's daughter in the mid-20th Century or some 200 years after she was conceived.

Because the third season of the time-travel/period/romance drama will be based on Book 4 of Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander," many already know and await the reunion of Jaimie and Brianna on television. This, Sophie Skelton, who will play the role of adult Brianna, talked about in an interview with TV Guide.

"I think it will be really cool when they meet because I think we see a lot of Jamie in Brianna," the actor explained. "I think as you know from Book 4, there's a lot of clash between Jamie and Bree. It's not some wonderful reunion. They have some hot-headed arguments, so I think that will be very cool."

Despite their dynamic, Skelton revealed that Brianna will be desperate to meet Jaimie. The "Day of the Dead: Bloodline" star shared that her character is interested as a historian to meet this man who lived through a very important point of history.

Moreover, she is also curious as to what aspect of her personality that she got from her biological father. "She's having a bit of an identity crisis in Season 3," she added.

"Outlander" Season 3 will premiere on Sept. 10 and will pick up soon after Claire arrives back in 1948. It will take another twenty years before the two reunites and, by then, both of them have moved on, but have not quite forgotten each other.
