After enduring much humiliation during their highly publicized "Pokemon GO Fest," Niantic will be facing another debacle as a number of disgruntled fans are filing a class lawsuit against the developer for grounds that the company failed to deliver what it had promised. The game maker, on the other hand, responded to the said legal action not to mention that they just shelved the upcoming European event for the AR title.

Reports suggest that a certain Jonathan Norton - a California resident flew all the way to the event, though got disappointed about how Niantic handled with the affair. Hence the "Pokemon GO" fan reached out to Thomas Zimmerman, a Chicago attorney to see what he can do about him getting recompensed with the travel expenses that he shelled out just to attend the said event.

In an interview with Polygon, Zimmerman stated that there are over two dozen additional folks will be joining Norton in this legal battle. When asked about it, the "Pokemon GO" developer then responded stating that they do not comment "on pending legal matters."

At the time of writing, Niantic also released an official statement about the upcoming "Pokemon GO" Safari events in Europe. Per the update, the scheduled August 5 affair in Prague and Copenhagen including the August 12 gathering in Amsterdam and Stockholm are now shelved as they have advised fans in the affected countries that a new set of dates will be announced sometime in Fall. Meanwhile, scheduled events in France, Germany, Spain, and Japan are not affected.

Also, a new "Pokemon GO" patch just went live yesterday announcing the return of Team Instinct's Spark. A motivation decay bug was also fixed alongside other freezing and iPhone 6 issues.
