Good news for super fans of EXO. Aside from launching the K-pop idol group's official Twitter account @weareoneEXO, the group is now on Facebook as well.

It seems that a lot of EXO's fans from different parts of the world have been waiting for a long time for the group to come to Facebook because as soon as @weareoneEXO's Facebook account was discovered, it has been followed by over 5 million Facebook users. It has also been liked close to 6 million times.

According to a report from All Kpop, SM Entertainment deleted the EXO-K and EXO-M Facebook accounts and opted to create a single account for all EXO-related promotions and announcements. This is actually a great way for the label to manage official announcements and give the fans a venue to learn about their favorite K-pop group and their activities without relying on rumors and speculations.

EXO's official Facebook page was officially created on July 18 along with the release of EXO's summer comeback "The War." Within a few hours, the page already garnered 300,000. As the day progressed, the followers have reached one and a day after its release, it already reached the 3 million mark. The latest figure had the page at over 5 million followers.

EXO's official entry to Twitterverse was also widely celebrated across the globe as it easily became a worldwide trending topic. Twitter also recognized EXO's strong following on the social media platform by creating a special Ko Ko Bop emoji to celebrate the K-pop group's new Twitter page and their comeback, Korea Portal reported.

Until August 8, EXO fans who use the hashtag #EXO #TheWarExo #KokoBop and #엑소 will find the special emoji attached to the hashtag. In its statement, Twitter explained why they created the special emoji for the K-pop group. EXO is loved by its fans all over the world. Even without an official Twitter account, there was already an average of 1 million tweets that talked about them each day," they said.
