‘The Winds of Winter’ Release Date, News & Update: George RR Martin Confirmed Done Writing But Copyeditor Cannot Edit Yet; Delayed Again?

Fans of the "Game of Thrones" book series are now excited for the upcoming release of its sixth book. However, new reports are claiming that George RR Martin would not be releasing "The Winds of Winter" book soon as the copyeditor is currently busy.

Mashable Asia shared that George RR Martin's copy editor had revealed that he is currently busy right now. He added that he cannot, perhaps, make time to edit "The Winds of Winter" book as he is doing other stuff at the moment.

The copy editor confessed that George RR Martin has already finished writing "The Winds of Winter" book and it is now on editing stage. However, he said that he is currently working on a lot of things, making it hard for him to edit the "A Song of Ice and Fire" sixth book.

"Look, I get it. You want to read this book. But the thing is, it's gotta go through me first and I just don't have the time to edit it right now," George RR Martin's copy editor stated about "The Winds of Winter" book. "I am sooooo busy I just like...CAN'T right now, you know? I really wish I could," he added on.

Meanwhile, Korea Portal has previously reported that George RR Martin had complained about working too much on "The Winds of Winter" book. The 68-year-old New Mexican author has said that he does not have enough time to do other things as he focuses more on finishing the sixth "A Song of Ice and Fire" book.

As a matter of fact, George RR Martin has revealed that he only watched the "Wonder Woman" movie last month and he finds it unusual for him who loves watching films. "The Winds of Winter" author added that he does not have time to reading books, where he can get inspiration from.

Up until now, George RR Martin has not yet confirmed the official release date of "The Winds of Winter" book. However, the brain behind the "Game of Thrones" book series previously claimed that he is targeting to launch the book before 2017 ends.
