‘The Sims 4’ Updates: 'Pets' DLC Announcement Included In Quarterly Teaser?

Avid "The Sims 4" players have been vocal about the gameplay features that they would like to be added to Electronic Arts life simulation game. Recently, many fans speculated that the game's final 2017 quarterly teaser might include an official announcement for the "Pets" DLC.

Beginning January, hidden game codes and leaked files teased of the potential development of a "Pets" DLC for "The Sims 4." Some of the game codes even hinted of the probable addition of cat and dog Sims, including the introduction of specific "Create-A-Sim" elements for pets, as well as in-game objects where the said virtual animals can walk on.

Given the recent end of the year's first six months, some players indicated that one of the two remaining quarterly announcements for "The Sims 4" might include a teaser for "Pets." Speculations posted by avid gamers on the fansite The Sims Community even identified "The Sims 4: Pets" as one of the game packs that they would like to see in the said announcement. However, game developers have yet to unveil the latest quarterly teaser, as well as confirm the launch of the highly-requested DLC.

Aside from debunking the validity of a recently leaked alleged box artwork for "The Sims 4: Pets" game pack, neither Maxis nor Electronic Arts commented on earlier reports that revealed hidden game codes about the said animal DLC. Moreover, the Slovakian online retailer brloh.sk may have previously listed the said speculated "The Sims 4" DLC for launch on Nov. 9, but the validity of the online listing has yet to be proved, Sims VIP reported.

"The Sims 4" gamers would have to wait for the upcoming quarterly teasers to find out whether "Pets" will be one of the DLCs for release in 2017. The third quarter teaser is expected to be unveiled within the first two weeks of July.
