'Supernatural' Season 13 Rumors: Fans Want Bobby Back, Could He Join Spinoff Series 'Wayward Sisters?'
Fans of The CW's longest running sci-fi show want to bring back one of its biggest characters for "Supernatural" Season 13. Fans want the Winchesters to be reunited with their surrogate dad Bobby Singer who was killed off way back in Season 7.
According to a report by BuddyTV, there may a possibility for Bobby's return for "Supernatural" Season 13 because he appeared last season as part of the Apocalypse World storyline where alternate versions of the characters are alive and well. Fans are hoping that Apocalypse World Bobby could be of help to the Winchesters as they brace to battle Lucifer yet again with the expected help from his son Jack.
Some fans have expressed excitement over the possibility of having Bobby back because of the well-established family relationship he had with Sam and Dean for the first seven seasons of the show. After he died, he popped in for a few episodes as a guest but the possibility of a permanent return has never presented itself before "Supernatural" Season 12's Apocalypse World.
Meanwhile, it has been rumored that "Supernatural" is gearing to jumpstart another spinoff, this time to be headlined by Kim Rhodes' character Sheriff Jody Mills entitled "Wayward Sisters." The spinoff is expected to revolve around Sheriff Mills leading a group of women who have lost their loved ones to supernatural causes, Korea Portal reported.
Some fans have expressed hope that Bobby could be a permanent character in the main show and the spinoff to add more power to the new show as Bobby is one of the strongest characters to come out of "Supernatural." It also can be recalled that both Sheriff Mills and Bobby are two of the Winchesters' biggest allies and it may be interesting to see the franchise explore their relationship.
For now, this all remains wishful thinking on the part of the fans. "Supernatural" returns to The CW for its 13th season on October 12.
