According to a report by Koreaboo, critics did not take kindly to Kim Soo Hyun's noir action film and did not mince words in describing their criticism. Kim Jong Chul's Extreme Movie Reviews said that it was the worst work that Kim Soo Hyun has done and most probably ever will.
At the premiere of the movie, Kim Soo Hyun reportedly was brought to tears by horrible reviews about his movie "Real." As he gave a speech, he choked up and explained why the movie may not have appealed to the taste of some viewers.
"I've waited for this moment for so very long. I'm both very nervous and thrilled about today. The movie may be a bit unfriendly to you all. But I think that is only natural," Kim Soo Hyun said at the "Real" premiere. "There are a lot of hidden traps in the movie and you're bound to step on them. Even this tear right now is all planned. I hope you give the movie a lot of love and support."
