Updates are important for most users, regardless of how much money they have spent on their new smartphones. Google's latest Android version Nougat is out of beta. The Android 7.0 Nougat was introduced in March as Android N, the all-new OS boasts a host of new features. It provides a lot of major improvements and refinements over Marshmallow, along with quite a few possibly more important usability changes in terms of performance, battery & data, notifications, security, productivity, accessibility and more.

After Samsung is done rolling out the Android 7.0 update to its high-end smartphones, it is time for mid-range phones to get the Nougat update. With Android O just around the corner, Android Nougat is slowly drawing close as the latest and supreme version of Android. Therefore, Samsung has commenced software testing on one of the older smartphones, Galaxy A9 Pro and it could soon be receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update, reports Neowin.

The device has been spotted on both GFXBench as well as Geekbench, running the latest Android Nougat OS with the listings revealing Android 7.0 OS. The most recent Android Nougat update will bring several new features to the device such as night mode, bundled notification, and improved battery optimization, multi-window options and more.

It  is also believed that Samsung would incorporate custom features of its own to the software including the Always On Display that lets users change the clock colour, improved accessibility, lock screen personalization option to improve notifications on display, card dynamic adjustment of display size, revamped calendar app, new font option for titles among other new features.

The Galaxy A9 Pro was launch on the Android 6.0.1 ship in May last year. 16-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 652 processor, 4GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory, 16 GB primary camera. With microSD card, OIS and 1080p video recording, 8-megapixel front facing. The camera, Fingerprint reader, Samsung Pe, and 5,000 mAh batteries.
