EXO member Byun Baekhyun has once again aired out his grievances towards obsessive fans that have time and time again stepped out of the line. Just recently, the idol singer took to social media to ask fans to keep their distance.

On June 20, Byun Baekhyun updated his official Instagram account with a media photo of himself doing a thumbs-up gesture. The idol then included a caption that has once again alarmed fans. In the caption, Baekhyun has requested fans to restrain themselves from invading his privacy. He emphasized that he was on a vacation and he does not feel comfortable with fans taking photos of him during his break.

Baekhyun is currently enjoying a short vacation in Jeju Island, South Korea after his agency held an artists’ workshop there. SM Entertainment organized a workshop and a special retreat for its almost 900 employees and artists on June 19. Aside from EXO, other prominent groups such as Girls Generation as well as the agency’s actors and models have attended the said event.

EXO and Baekhyun are no strangers when it comes to sasaeng fans following them around. There was even a time when these sasaeng fans disrupted Baekhyun’s older brother’s wedding and have embarrassed Baekhyun and EXO because of that infamous incident. In South Korean culture, the term sasaeng refers to an obsessive fan of a certain idol or public figure. Korean pop idols have always been victims of ridiculous sasaeng instances which can range from stalking to sending death threats. Several entertainment companies have taken various measures to protect the privacy and lives of their artists.

Meanwhile, EXO is reportedly preparing for their up and coming comeback. SM Entertainment confirmed this and announced that it will be a summer comeback. They are currently finalizing details and have already chosen their title track.
