Rapper Eminem performs onstage at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on April 13, 2014 in Los Angeles, California.

Featuring the story of Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine's music partnership, the documentary series titled "The Defiant Ones" will be released on HBO on July 9. On June 15, Eminem took to Twitter to promote the four-part film directed by Allen Hughes.

"Ignore the rules," Eminem wrote. He added a hashtag "#TheDefiantOnes."

Eminem is one of the rappers to be featured in "The Defiant Ones." In the documentary, viewers will see how the "Rap God" rapper praises Iovine.

In 2002, Iovine co-produced "8 Mile," the movie that starred Eminem opposite Kim Basinger, Mekhi Phifer and the late Brittany Murphy. The film went on to win the Academy Award for Best Original Song for "Lose Yourself."

Iovine is indeed instrumental to the successful careers of Eminem and many other artists. In a recent interview with Esquire, he was asked how he stayed humble after becoming successful.

The secret was that Iovince does not have a rearview mirror. He was interested in listening to the people who walk in the door and having ego and accomplishments stopping him from listening would mean they had not taught him anything, he explained.

"At the height of Interscope, a nineteen-year-old kid said to me, 'I've got a tape of a white rapper,'" Iovine told the publication. "I said, 'Give it to me. I'll give it to Dr. Dre.' That was Eminem."

Dr. Dre and Eminem went on to work on several projects together. Among their collaboration songs were "Guilty Conscience," "Forgot About Dre" and "I Need a Doctor."

In other news, Eminem's music has recently added a new word in the Oxford Dictionary. The word "stan" was included as an official word in the dictionary as an informal noun defined as "an overzealous or obsessive fan of a particular celebrity."

The word was from "Stan," a song from Eminem's third album titled "The Marshall Mathers LP."  It was a collaboration song with Dido.
