OnePlus' flagship killer back in 2015, the OnePlus 2 would not be receiving any Android Nougat update. OnePlus had previously stated that an Operating System update for the OnePlus 2 is in the works, but obviously, that is not the case as of this writing.

In a report by Express, the reason why the sudden change by OnePlus in its decision to provide an Android Nougat update to the OnePlus 2 is because of their software infrastructure team. Back when the OnePlus 2 was released August of 2015, OnePlus still had a gaping hole in its software department unlike what it is today, thus the lack of support for the OnePlus 2. OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T owners, however, will be able to benefit Google's new Android 8 also known as Android O.

For those who are looking to replace their OnePlus 2 smartphones this year, OnePlus has a pretty exciting trick up its sleeve. Their new "Flagship Killer" is set to launch on the 20th of this month.

"Focus On What Matters," that's the tagline that OnePlus has been spearheading OnePlus 5 with. Leaks of the OnePlus 5 features a dual camera setup, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, 3300 mAh battery and a 5.5-inch optic AMOLED display.
