Suzy Shares What She Regrets In Her Past & Talks About New Drama, ‘While You Were Sleeping’

Previously an active member of Miss A, Suzy has now blossomed from an idol into a budding actress. Aside from her success and popularity as a JYP idol, Suzy is now also making a name for herself as an actress. The idol-turned-actress sat down with High Cut to talk about her career shift and new endeavors. One of her new projects is a drama titled 'While You Were Sleeping'.

Suzy revealed that compared to the past, she is now more responsible in acting. She is currently working alongside actor Lee Jong Suk for 'While You Were Sleeping'. According to her, she became more responsible after working with writer Park Hye Run, whom she worked with before in 'Dream High'. The two will be working again for the upcoming drama.

Suzy said, "It felt so weird to meet her again through 'While You Were Sleeping'. Since she believed in me, she wanted to cast me, right? So I developed a sense of responsibility." She also expressed her regrets in 2011, when the two first worked together for 'Dream High'. According to her, she regrets not making an effort to be close with Park Hye Run. She said, "Back then, I was young and a little shy, so I wasn't that close with Park Hye Run. But I've always had respect for her and wished to meet her again through another project."

Suzy will play Nam Hong Ju in 'While You Were Sleeping', a girl who sees the future when she sleeps. When asked what she would do if she had her character's abilities, Suzy said, "If I can really have the ability that Hong Ju has, then I would like to go back to the moments in the past that I regret the most and change them." She also expressed that she wished to see how her new drama will fare in terms of ratings. She added, "I really want to know whether 'While You Were Sleeping' will turn out good or not."
