Former ‘Produce 101 Season 2’ Contestant Lee Woojin Talks About His Friendship With Kang Daniel
Viewers of 'Produce 101 Season 2' would know that Media Line trainee Lee Woojin and Kang Daniel have a close friendship. Their closeness became one of the many popular topics of netizens despite the two trainees' huge age difference.
After being eliminated during the latest episode of 'Produce 101', Lee Woojin talked about his friendship with the MMO trainee. He revealed, "It's true that I'm close with Kang Daniel, but I didn't know it would be called a 'bromance'." He further stated in the interview "The power of editing was strong. It was thanks to him that the public found out more about me. I'm grateful for him."
However, Lee Woojin said that he and Kang Daniel don't contact each other often. According to the 'Produce 101' alumnus, "But surprisingly, I don't contact Kang Daniel very much, because neither of us looks at our phones a lot." The trainee shared that he talks more often with the trainees from Brand New Music, saying that because their companies are located close to each other, they run into each other a lot.
Lee Woojin said, "Our agencies are only about two minutes away from each other, so if we run into each other, they'll buy me something to eat at the convenience store." Brand New Music trainees who are left on 'Produce 101 Season 2' are Park Woo Jin, Lee Dae Hwi, and Im Young Min. Despite not connecting with each other frequently, Lee Woojin continued to praise Kang Daniel for helping him when he was on the show.
"Kang Daniel taught me a lot about dancing. He also really has the feel of an idol. He's cool. I learned from him about the talents that idols need to have," Lee Woojin commented. He also commended Im Young Min, saying that he is one of the trainees who puts in the most effort during practice on 'Produce 101 Season 2'.
